Peter Bye is the Portfolio Manager on UBS Asset Management's US Large and Mid-Cap Growth Equity team. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, he is responsible for analysis and issue selection in the health care.
Peter joined UBS Asset Management in 2010 after twelve years in equity research on the sell side covering health care sectors at Cowen & Co., Citigroup, Wachovia and most recently at Jefferies and Co. where he was mentioned as one of the Best on the Street in the 2010 Wall Street Journal survey.
Prior to his equity research career, Peter worked in the quantitative research department at Putnam Investments in Boston, analyzing portfolio strategies, risk, security modeling, and performance attribution among the companies taxable fixed income groups.
Quantitative Equity Analyst
On graduating from the University of Hull with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Obe began working as a Senior Consultant and Account Executive at FactSet Research Systems in 2003. He then joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2007 as Head of European Equity and Quantitative Strategy, before beginning work at Camrignac in 2014 as a Quantitative Equity Analyst.
Columbia Threadneedle Investments
Mark Heslop joined the company in 2008 as a smaller companies analyst in the European equities team. He manages the Threadneedle (Lux) Pan European Small Cap Opportunities, the Threadneedle European Smaller Companies Fund and the Threadneedle (Lux) Global Smaller Companies Fund.
Before joining the company, Mark spent nine years as an analyst with Citi. He began his career as an accountant and consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
He holds a degree in Chemistry from Durham University and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Senior Portfolio Manager
Shawn Mato joined Westwood in 2014, serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager and is a portfolio manager on the firm's Global Convertible Securities team. Prior to joining Westwood, Shawn spent the last 12 years co-managing both the long-only and absolute return global convertible securities strategies and the previous three years as an equity analyst at Aviva Investors.
Prior to 2001, he was a Research Associate at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, a Financial Consultant at Deloitte and Touche LLP, and held a variety of roles at Nomura Securities. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.

Tim joined Hermes in 2009 as a research analyst for the European Equities team covering the resources, oil & gas, agricultural chemicals, capital goods and technology sector. He became lead portfolio manager of Hermes Europe ex-UK Equity Fund in 2015 and joined Andrew Parry in forming the Impact team in August 2016, which launched Hermes Impact Opportunities fund at the start of 2018, which Tim also manages. Prior to joining Hermes, Tim worked at Execution Limited and Sourcecap. Tim graduated from the University of Malta in 2006 with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In 2016, Tim featured in Financial News's ‘40 Under 40 Rising Stars of Asset Management'.
